The Highland Council Helpline

The Highland Council has launched a free helpline to give assistance and to collect details of individuals and community groups looking to provide volunteering support during Covid-19. The number will be live from 2pm today (Wednesday 25 March)

The single line number – 0300 303 1362 – will connect callers to relevant Council specialist teams and will operate Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm. All calls are free.

Callers will be able to get advice on benefits and personal support, education and social care and there will also be advice for businesses who may need help with financial support. Helpline staff will also be signposting callers to other organisations that can provide help and assistance as well as gathering offers from individuals or community groups wishing to volunteer.

The service is operated by council staff and Eden Court volunteers who will be home based. Staffing levels will be kept under review to respond to the demand.

“Where2Today”

All Staff here at BSCTC are committed to working together and would like to reassure all of our customers that although we have had to alter our services to help contain the outbreak of the virus, we are still able to offer critical services such as food supplies and prescription collection. Should anyone need these services do not hesitate to give us a call on Aviemore (01479) 810004 / 812233. Most of our staff will be working from home to maintain the best level of customer service and also keep them safe.

To help our customers in such uncertain times we are offering a telephone support service which will be manned by staff and volunteers who are there to listen, re-assure you and help access the support you need.

If you require support for critical services such as food supplies or prescription collection, please give us a call. Please also give us a call if you have an emergency transport need within Badenoch & Strathspey, we will do our best to assist.
